Enrollment
All residents who are registering new students for the first time must verify their residency at the Superintendent’s Office, located at the Board of Education building at 500 Tenafly Road. After proof of residency is established, the Superintendent’s Office will register the student(s) and provide resident with copies of documents needed to bring to the school of attendance.

Please provide the Superintendent’s Office with the following:

  • Birth certificate of child, if born in U.S.
  • Passport of child, if born outside the U.S.
  • Photo ID of parent registering child (i.e. driver’s license or passport).
  • Original deed and current tax bill; or lease, dated and signed, effective during the current school year within the borough of Tenafly.
  • A current utility bill (i.e. PSE&G, water, telephone).
  • Current bank statement or vehicle registration with Tenafly address.
  • A Certificate of Residency form (available at Superintendent’s Office) must be filled out and signed when above documents are provided. This form will be notarized by the Superintendent’s Office.
  • A Registration for Admission form (available at the Superintendent’s Office)
  • In addition, a completed health history form and up-to-date immunization records are necessary before students may enter school.
